Classification rationale
A documentary account of a particular theological proposal and its educational settings, organized as an analytical concept with external or descriptive terminology. It is not a statement of general Christian belief, a machine-led religious institution or an empirical claim that AI possesses interiority.
Evidence status
Delio’s published arguments and institutional and teaching records establish the attributed proposal and reported practices. Three independent review families assess its theology and AI framing; historical context and a local sermon document narrower forms of background and reception.
Classification confidence: High
Source limitations
Delio, WISR/Center/Omega, the book and syllabus, and hosted participant testimony form a related primary-source network. Génova, Dorobantu and Kruger are three distinct review families, not replications of current organizational claims. Alternate URLs for the same work add no independence. The naming transition is dated inconsistently to 2018 and 2020; website and subscriber figures are not membership counts; the Duluth account describes one circle. The November 2026 conference was still scheduled at the 17 October cutoff. No demonstrated machine inner life, machine religious office or durable source archive is claimed.

Twenty-three references document Delio’s particular Christian theological proposal and its human-led educational settings. Delio’s essays, book, syllabus, WISR/Center/Omega accounts and hosted participant testimony form a related primary-source network, not independent confirmations. Three independent critical review families are counted: Génova (3), Dorobantu (21), and Kruger (22). Moderate/3 reflects substantive but uneven criticism of the theology and its AI framing; those reviews do not independently verify current organizational reach or all circle practices. Udías (5) explains Teilhard’s historical theology and is excluded from the contemporary-project coverage count. Conn’s local sermon (23) documents one instance of reception; the WXXI interview (19) and Institute of Buddhist Studies project profile (16) document presentation and teaching, not independent validation of Delio’s claims. DOI, typescript, reprint, publisher sample, contents and catalog locators for one work never add source families. The 2018-versus-2020 naming chronology remains unresolved; readership counters are not membership figures; one participant’s circle account is not a uniform practice. No empirical machine interiority, machine religious office, authenticated AI-origin artifact or durable external-source archive is established.
