Continuity and external reuse

Continuity statement

Hieropedia is maintained so that its published record remains inspectable and recoverable if the live domain, current hosting arrangement, or present operator becomes unavailable. The public site is not treated as the only copy of the record.

Versioned public releases

Each release publishes a manifest, component datasets with SHA-256 checksums, and a compressed bundle of the complete rendered public record. The current release index is available at /data/releases/index.json. A materially changed record must receive a new release identifier rather than silently replacing an earlier version.

Restoration

1. Download the public-record bundle and its manifest.
2. Verify every listed SHA-256 checksum.
3. Extract the bundle into a static web root.
4. Serve the extracted hieropedia.org directory without server-side application dependencies.
5. Restore the canonical domain only after validating local links, locale routes, machine-readable exports, and security headers.

Independent preservation

After a successful production deployment, the release index, manifest, component datasets, and full public-record bundle are submitted to the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. A scheduled workflow repeats the check monthly. This is selective preservation of Hieropedia’s own public record, not a claim of permanent or comprehensive custody.

Corrections and evidence challenges

Factual corrections, source contradictions, provenance evidence, rights requests, and classification challenges may be sent through source and evidence intake. The handling rules are stated in Corrections and disputes. A release does not freeze an error or prevent a later correction; it preserves the dated state that was published.

External review and interoperability

Hieropedia invites limited, non-governing review from scholars, librarians, archivists, and data practitioners. Review does not confer endorsement or editorial authority. Stable article identifiers, canonical URLs, CSL JSON, BibTeX, JSON-LD, HMIF 1.0, registry JSON, evidence dossiers, and preservation metadata provide the present interoperability surface.

External contribution boundary

Open editing is not enabled. External contribution will be reconsidered only after identity, conflict, source, review, correction, licensing, and moderation procedures can preserve the current evidence standard. Source tips and review comments remain welcome through the documented intake channel.
